Here we are, kissing on the top of the Empire State Building, with the city in the background.

On Sunday afternoon we saw Jay Leno in Times Square interviewing people for a segment on his show. Didn't get to talk to him, but got pretty close for a good picture.

Next morning we got up early and caught the ferry over to the Statue of Liberty. Pretty cool. As you can see below though, thanks to those bastard terrorists you can't go inside of it anymore.

Next, we walked downtown to Wall St and the financial district. Here's Ginger with the bull.

Then we walked over to ground zero, where the twin towers were. Pretty incredible how huge these things were. Makes you think about all those people who died senselessly. Below are the memorials to those who died.

Next we went over to Little Italy to get some authentic Italian food. We ate at a nice little place called Da Nico.

Now it was time to catch a cab and get back up to 53rd and Broadway for the Letterman show. I got tickets for the show by answering a trivia question - Who is Rupert? Rupert is of course the proprietor of Hello Deli, right behind the Ed Sullivan theater. Here's a picture of his establishment. We went in and met him. He was a nice guy, however his muffins were very stale!

Here's the Ed Sullivan theater. The show was good, but there are all these annoying interns all around watching you to make sure you are laughing and not doing anything crazy, kinda strange. His guests on the show were Kevin James and the chick who just won Survivor. He also had stupid pet tricks which was fun to watch. We had seats in the front on the far left side, pretty much right in front of his desk. Pretty cool!

After the show we ate at this very trendy and cool Asian place called Ruby Foo's Dim Sum and Sushi Palace. Here is a picture from inside.

After that, we went to the Empire State Building. Up to the observatory on the 86th floor. The view was amazing, but it was damn cold! Here's some pictures from the top and the lobby.

The next day we got up and went walking through Central Park. Very nice. Here's some pics below.

Next we went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. No pictures allowed inside really, so nothing to show here. It was very interesting though, the place is huge. It would take days to see all of it. We saw most of it at a rapid pace. I found the most interesting stuff to be the ancient Egyptian items, such as 3000 year old sarcophaguses.
Then we went over to Rockefeller Center and the NBC studios. The NBC studio tour was pretty cool. We got to see where Dateline and Saturday Night Live are filmed. Couldn't take any pictures here either. Oh well. Here's a picture of me in the NBC store, standing next to the peacock made of M&M's. Also, some pictures of Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall.

That night we went to eat at the famous Sardi's restaurant. Its the place with all the celebrity caricatures all over the walls. Here's a link to the restaurant's website. I didn't take any pictures inside since it was very upscale and I didn't want to seem too much like an idiot tourist. I probably did anyway, so I should have at least gotten a picture or two! Anyway, we thought we were sitting next to some celebrity guy who we couldn't think of his name, so I asked the maitre'd. He didn't know who the guy was but did tell us that Frank Gorshin was at the bar and that he would sign an autograph for us. For those who don't know Frank Gorshin played the Riddler on the old Batman TV show, among many other television roles. He now is playing broadway, doing a one man show about the life of George Burns. Here is a link to IMDB info on him.
I may add more to this when I get more time.........
